This year there will be a few changes in teams and divisions. Pitt-Johnstown will not have a team this year as there is not enough interest from students. However, it looks like Mercyhurst, Youngstown State and Kent State will be joining the league. Playoffs will be hosted at Grove City College on March 28th. The NIRSA national tournament will be held April 9-11, 2009 in Kansas City, Missouri.

 

Grove City won the Messiah tournament November 15th, defeating Millersville(25-21, 25-22) in the semis and Messiah(16-25, 25-23, 15-13) in the finals. The rest of the scores from the tourney can be found here.

Grove City will be hosting their annual pre-season tournament December 6th. Teams participating include Grove City, Robert Morris, Duquesne, Case Western Reserve, Gannon, Rochester, Penn State Behrend, Slippery Rock, Baldwin Wallace, Allegheny, Bucknell and a POVL Alumni team.
